In a new ATmega328P project using AS7, I will need to interface to 4 1-wire devices on a single bus. Previously I have used a Peter Dannegger derived implementation (modified by Martin Thomas 7/2010).

I have not had any problems with this in the past projects; however, is there a currently preferred library that the freaks recommend? (Or known problems with that library?)

Don't know 1-wire specifically but given that Peter Dannegger and Martin Thomas are two extremely skilled engineers I'd be kind of surprised if you can find anything better than what they might have come up with. Having said that it's a pretty fair bet that Arduino has a solution for this (though it might actually be based on their code anyway).

Thanks clawson,

I did find an Arduino library by Paul @ pjrc which I am going to look into, but may stick with what I know.

I was just wanting to avoid any potential pitfalls if there were any known problems with a particular library.

Ah now that's a quandry because Paul is clearly another very talented AVR engineer. I guess all you can do is "try them for size" and see how you get on.
