Does anybody know the AVR CAN development board from Olimex? Does it have the loader, or do you need some
additional development tools to load an application?

Any other suggestions for a cheap board (or board+tools) that could be used for multi-protocol OBD2 interface?

This was not quite what I had in mind, even if interesting. I was thinking of interface, not code reader. Another thing, I think I can write the code, it's the hardware I'm after. And sill another thing: the most important protocols for me, at the moment, are CAN, PWM and KWP2000. At the moment I have a Ford (uses PWM) with Eberspächer (uses KWP2000). The next car will probably have CAN.

There are ready-made interfaces, but I'd like to try my own code on the board.
