Good afternoon everybody!
I've installed the Studio 5 these past days but I don't have the "empty avr gcc project" option available, so I can't make a simple C blank project.
In the "new project" menu, I have available the avr gcc item, but in the center window it doesn't appear the "Empty AVR GCC option"...
Can somebody help me?

I've installed the full version of the studio 5.

Thanks.

In 5.0 , template projects reside in C:\Program Files (x86)\Atmel\AVR Studio 5.0\extensions\Application\ProjectTemplates . Do you have files like AvrGcc.zip there ? If not, maybe the install went wrong.
Please do try out the 5.1 beta as well. It can coexist with 5.0, and its better then the beta stamp would suggest.

Hi Dan.

Thank for the answer.
At C:\Program Files\Atmel\AVR Studio 5.0\extensions\Application
I only have the folder "templates" and not the "ProjectTemplates" folder.
I'll try with the 5.1 beta and tell you what happens
Thanks

Doesn't an "empty" project gets created by simply clicking a "New project" icon?

MBedder.
No it doesn't. It appears the new project window.

Dan.
I've installed the Beta 5.1 version and it works fine.

Now...why I have the problem with the final version and not with the beta version? Can I solve it?

Certainly. Get rid of that bloatware, download and install the AS4 instead

I would reinstall, paying attention to unusual error messages.
