Anyone know what the story is? Digikey (at least) increased prices recently ...
* NGW100 ... announced 26-March-2007 as a $69 board, now costs $118.25 (less than a month later)
* STK1000 ... announced 26-June-2006 as a $499 board, now costs $860
* Similarly with AVR8 products: Butterfly went from $20 to $39 (but it's back at $20 now), at90usbkey from $30 to $52 ...
Are these just temporary pricelist bugs or are the prices really going up? The NGW100 bothers me, I hadn't yet gotten around to ordering one...
Meanwhile, AVR8 STK500 is free with purchase of a Dragon or JTAG ICE mkII, seemingly a 3 month promo to get more exposure for (non-usb) AVR8...

AFAIK retail price from Atmel is still 69 $ for the ATNGW100 :) My guess is a price after demand or something?

Certainly digikey has had these things running out the door, it wouldn't surprise me at all if they had decided to tack on a bit of extra fat ;).

The latest word from my local Atmel distributor is that as far as he knows, the prices haven't changed. Certainly he's still selling them for the same price which is all that really matters!

Well, today Digikey quotes NGW100 at $73 (available 28-May!) and STK1000 at $532 (in stock), so it seems the price rise is only about 6% ... it could indeed be just Digikey doing what various other distributors are doing. At90usbkey also only a few bucks extra.

Thanks for the info that Atmel's policy hasn't changed. Maybe I'll order me an NGW100 now ...
