Hi

Has anyone any experience with the NGW100 (or other AVR32 cards) and OneWire?

My first idea was to use the USB unit called DS9490R,
but I missed that the usb port can't be a host...

So now I am thinking about other ways, and there is 2 circuits that could be usable.
1. DS2482S-100 -> I2C to 1wire
2. DS2490B -> RS232 to 1wire

Has anyone tried to connect one off those to a NGW100?

It seems like owfs has support for both?
1. http://owfs.org/index.php?page=i2c-ds2482-100
2. http://owfs.org/index.php?page=com-ds9097-passive

And it seems like there is some kind off support in the kernel for the DS2482 with the driver found in
/linux-2.6.26.2/drivers/w1/masters/ds2482.c

But has anyone tried to put those pieces together, and if so should I try I2C or RS232 both seem to be available through the JP5 on the NGW100 card...?

Thanks
Johan

I've never used owfs or either of the 2 parts you've mentioned, but have used the DS2480B+ parts. I haven't even bothered to plug it in to the in-kernel 1W stuff, just ported a bunch of existing code I had for 8-bit devices some years back.

The DS2480B+ is used in the DS9097E adaptors so should be an easy fit for, eg, owfs. Though the DS2490 is faster.

Hi I used the DS9097(old device) -> RS232 to 1 wire and OWFS some time ago with the ngw100.

All worked well, after some problems while compiling that eventually solved. (sorry I forgot the details :( ).

OWFS is a great project.

Viron.
