Hi there,

I am usually using SMD electronics, but I would like to get some Through Hole parts for my tests.

I am using the SMD Mosfets:
IRLML6402 (P-MOS) and
IRLML2501 (N-MOS)

Could someone suggest me 2 part numbers (P and N-MOS) in TO-92 package, that I could get from a European local shop?

Thanks you.

Michael.

I haven't look at the IRML parts, but I used BS250 (P) and BS107 or BS170 (N) in past as small general purpose FET transistors in TO-92 package.

Thanks jerry_s.

Unfortunatelly I am searching for very low RDSon resistance. The BS250 has a resistanse of 9 Ohm (typ.)

Is there any other suggestion for N and P channel MOSFETS in TO-92 package with an RDSon resistanse less than 1 Ohm???

Thank you.

Michael

I did a quick search on Farnell, and finding the combo TO-92 and that low RDSon seems impossible. However, if you're willing to accept the TO-220 package, there are numerous options.
I did a search and have a link, but it's waaaaay to long to show in text, and the forum seems to limit the length of allowable urls...

Just remembered TinyURL, so here's the link to my search - hope it works...

BTW, Farnell REALLY needs to add in some upper/lower limit searches...

Well, this will be much harder.
A time ago I searched for lower Rdson P-FET transistors in TO-92 package for hobby project and I ended at low saturation voltage PNP transistor - don't remember what it was, some Zetex, I vaguely remember.

I think you will have hard time to find P-FET in TO-92 with Rdson under 1Ohm.
Online catalog at farnell, for example, gives cca 7000 results for FET transistor, but only cca 40 results for FET in TO-92 and only 3 results for FET in TO92 with P polarity, one of them isn't in stock, second is BS250 and third has Rdson 15 ohms.

Zetex sells the ZVN4206A (N-Ch, RDSon = 1 Ohm) and the ZVP2106A (P-Ch, RDSon = 5 Ohm). However, a TO92 part needs the same space like a TO220 part on a breadboard or an development board with a 2.54mm matrix. Thus you could go for the TO220 anyway.

Here is a link to an N ch version of something that might work that was mentioned in another thread. I did not check for a P ch version. Scroll to the bottom of the pdf for pkg size.
