I'm using the current version of Mplayer from buildroot, but when playing a clip with audio + video, performances are poor and cpu load is high. Without sound the video is ok (cpu load at about 50-60%). The audio format is:

Selected audio codec: [ffwmav2] afm: ffmpeg (DivX audio v2 (FFmpeg))

I'm using the PiCo for color conversion and big buffer for PCM, but nothing changes. I know that there is an optimized libmad, but it can't support the format above. Any suggestion to achieve better performance ?

This was on a previous thread. In short you need to make sure madlib is compiled in then use mplayer -ac mad ... command line
