I just received an E-mail from Mouser that my order of 06/08 for XMEGA128A1s is expected to ship on Nov 10.
I know you did an Xmega DDS Signal Generator, what is your next Xmega project to be?
We have recently received information from Atmel that the XMEGA's are still not released to production yet. Our order of XMEGA128A1s that were expected to arrive in November have been pushed out. We are unable to provide an expected ship date at this time.
I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Thanks for the update, Charles.
I just got this email from digikey... doesnt look good...
We do not have good news for you regarding Atmel part numbers:
1/ATXMEGA64A4-AU-ND, 1/ATXMEGA128A3-AU-ND AND 1/ATXMEGA128A1-AU-ND. Our
purchaser has been notified by Atmel stating these parts have not been
released for production and will not provide a lead time. Therefore,
these parts have been canceled from your order. Our product manager says
no subs available. These parts may available, Jan of 2009, but could be
end of first or second quarter of 2009. Please check our web site for
stock and place a new order, if you wish.
If Mouser is getting them on Nov 10, then I am sure that Digikey will get them around the same time.

Our order of XMEGA128A1s that were expected to arrive in November have been pushed out.
If you think education is expensive, try ignorance.
At Mouser, we are not canceling XMEGA orders from a customer's order unless by customer request. While we may not be able to provide an expected delivery date, we understand that you may want to keep your "place in line" to receive the newest devices from Atmel as soon as they become available.
Again, I apologize for any inconvenience incurred by the delay. We will continue to work with Atmel and provide delivery information as soon as we have an update from Atmel.
Perhaps you can pop over to the ATmega32U4 thread, and give an answer as to whether ATmega32U4 might be stocked?
The same on ATmega32M1?
the same on whether any of the Automotive AVRs will be stocked as a matter of course?
You can put lipstick on a pig, but it is still a pig.
I've never met a pig I didn't like, as long as you have some salt and pepper.
