For your malfunctioning mouse, John, what changed when it stopped working? Does it work when the ICE is not plugged in? Is it a Corsair mouse?

what changed when it stopped working?
Don't know, everything was working 4 weeks ago when I updated some AVR firmware for a product I make.
Does it work when the ICE is not plugged in?
Yes perfectly. As soon as I plug one of the ICEs or JTAG MK3 it crashes. Works again when I unplug them.
Is it a Corsair mouse?
It was a free gift from RS components distributors, don't know what's inside. The only thing you can see is water and some toys floating inside, very gimmicky.
It predates AS7 I think but has been working well at all times. I have another mouse, I will try that.
UPDATE: Another new mouse seems to fix the freezing HOWEVER old mouse also works perfectly if the ICE is already plugged in and I unplug and re-plug the mouse back in.
If I plug in the ICE after the system is up and running then the freezing occurs. Usually the ICE would be plugged in for days or weeks if I have any debugging or programming work and possibly the problem was never discovered.
I will try to power down and power up with the ICE plugged in, see if the problem is masked.
NO, that theory was wrong! Still freezes. This is the driver info for the mouse if it helps, new mouse uses the same driver.
Maybe we should split the mouse posts to another thread.
And a bit more info in case it helps
