Since I apparently got a new version of the Dragon,
See this thread: https://www.avrfreaks.net/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=79959
that nobody seems to have yet, I put in a support question to Atmel to if they could shed some light on the differences/improvements for this new revision and how to order this new version.

Here is there response:

Quote:
Dear Customer

The rev D Dragon has an improved power supply, as well as protection
clamp diode on the USB connector. We do not have mechnaism to specify the revison in the ordering code, but all new units are of rev D and have this changes.

bperrybap,

I do not have the details but I understand that there are some firmware differences that have upset a few.

Search "smiley micros", I think the post originated with him.

I think that was the butterfly, not the dragon.

Stealing Proteus doesn't make you an engineer.

Good Job, Atmel, for fixing what has been a known deficiency.

Now we just need them to make a functioning driver for Windows 7 64-bit.
