Hi,

Anyone know how to implement Modbus in arduino uno? Which website should i visit, to learn this protocol. I have a Samkoon 3.5.

Modbus master, or slave?  ASCII, or RTU, or other?  Does the slave need to be certified to run with an industrial master?

Have you gone to www.modbus.org ?

Have you typed "modbus arduino" into a Google search and followed the results?

Yeah, but im sorry my question was to how to set these input values I give from arduino to the samkoon HMI to be displayed in the needed screens (layers). And I couldn't find any help from samkoon site. Sorry for not being clear.

Just some points so that i can choose to go forward witis project or not, do we set addresses to these input data bits, because whe i tried using the software SamDraw, I had a tab to enter the address.

So, "Samkoon 3.5" is not an Arduino model, but rather an industrial HMI?

First thing is the physical interface.  How do you intend to connect to the beastie?

Next is the protocol flavour, as I mentioned.  ASCII, RTU, Ethernet, ...?

And still, is the Samkoon a master or slave?

I do find some hits in a Google search such as https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=...

There must be a reason why Samkoon HMI and Arduino was chosen in the first place.  If you cannot obtain basic connection information, what was the impetus to choose this setup in the first place?

It appears that the Samkoon is a slave?

Master is easier on an AVR because you only need to worry about commands that >>you<< choose to use rather than any arbitrary command from a master.

from SCHNEIDER

So in five minutes I've answered many of the questions I posed, using the 413 page manual.  (Admittedly I don't know if you have an SA or SK.)  I think you need to do more background study.

Is the RS485 link working on your Arduino?

And the first Google hits:
