Hi,

ATMega32C1 seems to be unavailable for purchase in any larger quantities. ATMega32M1 seems to be available in larger quantities and a lot cheaper.

Does anyone know what it takes to migrate from C1 to M1, if any change needed except when programming?

Does anyone know if there is a big advantage to move to M1 from C1? Im thinking that C1 might be low volume and M1 high or something.

I tried to find some migration information on manufacturers homepage but failed. And I was not able to find a contact information to someone at microchip that handles AVRs that I could ask. What is the best way currently to get into contact with someone who knows these things?

Thanks!

C1 might only be in the automotive catalog therefore the supply chain is different than M1.

C1 is not stocked by microchipDIRECT.

C1 is stocked by Rochester Electronics which is a distributor of EOL/NRND/low volume parts.

IIRC, it's through Design Support -> Technical Support -> My Support then the local or regional telephone number, or, create a support case.
