When I try to start debugging in AVR Mode (Atmega88) the Microchip Studio I got the hint:
Tool is in PIC Mode now, it should be switched to AVR Mode. Do you wish to switch to AVR Mode?

This happens again and again without success.
Any ideas? Thank you.

Firmware update may be required.
Try it with MPLAB X.

Pickit 4 programmer needs a firmware update, which requires you to use mplab x to perform the first time, then AS 7 can switch modes as needed.

Its a Microchip thing, not an AS7 (Atmel) thing....
