Searching here for some sort of OSX Lion tool chain I found a line to MHAVRTools which looked fairly recent.

Everything worked up to the point where it attempted to build something called gmp-5.0.2

I can not seem to find any makefile or anyway to clean and restart this part of a script.

Lately I have been using macports, with great success as well as github. Does anyone know if there are alternatives or whatever.

Ideally I just want AVRGCC and libs, along with AVRDude and debugger support (GDB?) Not sure what all the other stuff is for.

MHV uses patches against and/or downloads a wrong version of gmp.

GCC needs some prereqisites: The math libraries gmp, mpfr and mpc. All currently supported release series of GCC — which are 4.6, 4.7 and future 4.8 — use the following versions of these libraries, here as snip from GCC!/contrib/download_prerequisites:

Thus, MHV makes guesses that are not correct and might lead to even more problems, even if patching worked.

avrfreaks does not support Opera. Profile inactive.
