After using the simulator and crashing it because I was playing with self programming and overwriting the flash using SPM I rebooted the software and now all of my programs still compile and work but when I use the simulator I get a Message screen like this as well as errors that say there is a bad op code.

I am only using Assembly Language so i don't know why it is looking for a GCC Plugin.

Loaded plugin STK500
gcc plug-in: No WinAVR installation found. The AVR GCC plug-in can still be used if you set up your own build tools.
Loaded plugin Atmel AVR Assembler
Loaded partfile: C:\Program Files\Atmel\AVR Tools\PartDescriptionFiles\ATmega48.xml
AVR Simulator: Please wait while configuring simulator...
AVR Simulator: ATmega48 Configured OK
Loaded objectfile: C:\Documents and Settings\mark\Desktop\CHIP PROGRAMMING\Projects\mega48skel\mega48skel.obj

It loads the av-gcc plugin by default and on loading it looks for WinAVR. If that warning worries you then just switch off the loading of the avr-gcc plugin. But this is not the reason for any other problems you may be experiencing

I realized there was a new version, I downloaded it and installed. That solved the problem whatever it was.

Thanks
