MAX6510 trouble

I'm having trouble getting a Maxim MAX6510HAUT temperature switch to work. Anybody out there have experience with these? Maxim tech. support says there's nothing wrong with my design or implementation. Thanks.

I've not used that chip before, but if I had, how would I be able to provide help without either a schematic or the appropriate code having been provided for review?

If one assumes the hardware is correct, then the problem is software in origin.

The only programming involves a resistor to set the trip point. I've attached some files per your request, but if nobody here's used the part before, I wasn't expecting anyone to get themselves up to speed on it. I just thought if there were some experience here I'd see if there was something obscure I should know about.

How about a bypass cap on the power rail?

Yeah, I forgot that on the schematic but added it to the PCB. You can see it in the first photo. Didn't make a difference.
