My Nut/OS TCP/IP stack chrashes too often.
So, I plan take a look at lwIP instead (http://www.sics.se/~adam/lwip/).
Have anybody tried it already on Ethernut HW?
Yes, I know there is a port for uIP (http://dunkels.com/adam/uip/) but I'm
kind of allergic to names containing micro-something.

Hello Bengan,

WIZnet provides a sexy solutions for Ethernet connectivity including Hardware TCP/IP protocols. The products LP-NC I, LP-NC II, LP-NC III are using AVRMega128 to deliver 30 frames per second moving picture and two way audio transmission concurrently. You can find some information on these in the attached.

Please take a look at www.iinchip.com for more information if you're interested.

David.

Nice products David!

Do you happen to know something about pricing as well?
Licence fees?

Could be useful in another product where a DSP will be connected to ethernet.

The lwIP trail is more for evaluation purpose and some fun too.

FYI: I'm done with the porting and besides being instructive it was of no use.

lwIP is, compared to Nut/OS, a slow beast.
I get a ping responce of 10-15ms, and I even use a 16.6665MHz clock.
According to lwIP docs ICMP responce is optimized to speed.
So the rest is practically useless if you dont have moderate demands.

Well, disappoinments are a part of life.
Now back to the hackboard to kill some of the bugs in Nut/OS instead.
