The question in the quiz is:

What is the longest delay you can get between timer overflows with a free running timer in a ATmega?

Various numbers of seconds are given, but surely for a chip capable of "fully static operation" the correct answer is "longer than the age of the known universe".

You can make it infinite by simply not connecting power to the chip, but you might find that rather unuseful. Would not any useful answer depend on the frequency of the CPU?
