AVRISP-U is a new usb ISP programmer from kanda.
This programmer uses a FTDI chip which is supported by linux.
Has anyone try to work this programmer with avrdude under linux?

Got the stk200 from kanda for christmas. Hoping to get this going too. Have you had any luck since you posted? I tried all the preset avrdude programmers in the default config that looked slightly close, no joy.

It registers two USB serial ports which I thought was kind of odd. I only tried /dev/ttyUSB0

First AVR :-D

Not that I've found.

I tried using this USB sniffer I found http://benoit.papillault.free.fr.... I couldn't understand any of the output though. Really just need a tool that'll just sniff the USB serial stuff and not everything that USB is doing. I figure if I can work out the protocol it shouldn't be too hard to copy one of the others and modify it.
