Hello all.

I have a JTAGICE3 that's dead in the water. No LEDs, trouble getting the drivers installed (known good JTAGICE3s work with this computer)

All that shows up in Device Manager when I plug it in is AT32UC3A DFU which I find strange.

One thing is I'm having difficulty locating where the jtagice3.inf file should be located, the online directions state \inf

Any help is much appreciated...

If another one works just fine on the same PC then I would hedge that the J3 is shot. If it is new, can you return it to the vendor for a replacement?

Is it brand new, or was it previously working?

Hi Dean. LOVE your tutorials. To answer your question, brand new.

I don't want to waste anyones time with redundant inquiries as I'm processing an RMA request with the good folks at Atmel.

Thank you!

Yes, please RMA - sounds like the secure bootloader and device firmware wasn't loaded onto your unit at the factory.
