I am using an AT90CAn128. When I use my JTAG ice mkII as a debugger, all is well. (Code cycles through lighting LED's as it should. Simple test.) If I unplug the debugger, all is well. (Code again is working as expected). If I use the JTAG ice mkII to program the device, the code does not run. And, whilst trying to figure out the issue, I verified the code the debugger loads into the device using the programmer. It did not verify! So, I am sure it is a simple problem but the solution is escaping me at the moment. HELP! :)

Tell me where I have strayed.

You have probably selected the wrong .hex file to program into the chip. Double check that.

Though I can not check until tomorrow, I believe you are right! I had to program a different board the other day and have not checked the path. Thanks in advance!

Yep. That was it. Working on two projects at a time always slows me down. This one was a tad embarrassing. Oh well.

I would have thought that the last hex file programmed whilst using the project would be 'saved'. That is my story and I am sticking to it!

Thank you for your help!

It did. :) "the last hex file programmed" (via the programming interface screen) not the last file from a debugged project.
