How to Type Into Serial Port Terminal in Data Visualizer?

hi

 

Testing the Remorse sketch in ATMega328p Xplained Mini, i'm able to receive data from the board, but i cannot seem to type anything into the terminal.

WHy don't you just use a normal terminal program - such as PuTTY, RealTerm, TeraTerm, et al ... ?

  2. "Garbage" characters on a serial terminal are (almost?) invariably due to wrong baud rate - see: https://learn.sparkfun.com/tutorials/serial-communication
  3. Wrong baud rate is usually due to not running at the speed you thought; check by blinking a LED to see if you get the speed you expected

Thx 4 learnin me about terminals.

Question: why? If what i've already got does the job,why install yet more? For more features? 

Or cuz the Data Vis terminal has limitations?
