Hi,

I have attiny84a-ssu, Atmel ICE debugger, bread board. Can you please tell me how to program the attiny84a.

Tried placing the ssu onto the breadboard, but its not being placed.

Thanks

the -SSU suffix on the part number indicates the SOIC package

Microchip ATTINY84A-SSU, 8bit AVR Microcontroller, 20MHz, 8 kB Flash, 14-Pin SOIC

Tried placing the ssu onto the breadboard

What kind of "breadboard", exactly?

How did you try to "place" it, exactly?

but its not being placed.

What, exactly, do you mean by that?

Hi,

I've attached some photos. I'm trying to insert the micro controller into the breadboard using its pins.

Sorry I'm to new these micro controllers.

Thanks.

You need one of these to convert your SMDl package to DIP so it will plug into your BB.

Why did you choose that package style if you are using a BB?

It is so much easier to start with an Arduino UNO or Pro-mimi.

You didn't follow the instructions on how to insert the images - did you?

But it's a surface-mount package - it does not have "pins" for poking into holes!

So what other microcontrollers are you familiar with?
