Thought I'd better "update" my Studio 5 to 5.1.
Went throught the registration process twice, using different email addresses.
Three hours later: nothing.
Both times the site claimed to have sent me an email.
This is boll*cks, I've probably already registered n times anyway. I know I'm not supposed to denigrate Atmel here, but to be honest, the only reason I switched to Studio 5 was to use my JTAG ICE3 - I was quite happy with Studio 4 and Programmer's Notepad.
I can't claim clawson type figures, but my choice to switch to AVR from P*C has certainly resulted in sales of well over 100,000 processors, and Studio 5 is making me regret that choice. It's incredibly slow, and should allow me to update without having to re-register.
Pull your finger out, Atmel, please.
How long does the ****ing registration process take?
Do you happen to have a hyperactive spam filter in the chain? All my mail is going via 3 various spam filters and at times I lose a good one. :(

The registration process has never taken more than 5 minutes for me, back when I was actually registering. I know we are performing some email server upgrades - perhaps something has gone a little wonky. Has anyone else had any registration issues?

Thanks for the link(still no email after a night's sleep). And sorry about the asterisks - had a long day yesterday.
Could be spam filtering - I may try my gmail account - or maybe not now I have this link.

OK, I have now downloaded the 5.1 installer via the link above.
Is there anything that's going to byte me in the asm that I should be aware of before I install this?

Well, John, you might want to be aware that for some reason Studio 5.1 will not inherit all your recently opened projects etc. Oh, and you will probably need to change all your TortoiseSVN setup!
