Hi guys, I'd like to install AVRDUDE 6.3 on OS X (Sierra).

Their website's releases don't appear to have any .DMG packages (http://download.savannah.gnu.org...).

Using the shell - "brew install avrdude --with-usb" just installs version 6.0.1 which is 2 versions behind.

Any help would be appreciated.

CrossPack has AVRDUDE 6.3 but it's built from source :

Great! So to make this work I ran this to update platformio...

pip install -U platformio

Then it appears that my avrdude has been updated :)

MacBook-Pro:~ megabyte$ avrdude

Usage: avrdude [options]

Options:

-p <partno>                Required. Specify AVR device.

  -b <baudrate>              Override RS-232 baud rate.

-B <bitclock>              Specify JTAG/STK500v2 bit clock period (us).

-C <config-file>           Specify location of configuration file.

  -c <programmer>            Specify programmer type.

-D                         Disable auto erase for flash memory

  -F                         Override invalid signature check.

  -e                         Perform a chip erase.

-O                         Perform RC oscillator calibration (see AVR053).

  -U <memtype>:r|w|v:<filename>[:format]

                             Memory operation specification.

Multiple -U options are allowed, each request

  -V                         Do not verify.

-u                         Disable safemode, default when running from a script.

-s                         Silent safemode operation, will not ask you if

                             fuses should be changed back.

  -t                         Enter terminal mode.

-E <exitspec>[,<exitspec>] List programmer exit specifications.

  -x <extended_param>        Pass <extended_param> to programmer.

-y                         Count # erase cycles in EEPROM.

-Y <number>                Initialize erase cycle # in EEPROM.

  -v                         Verbose output. -v -v for more.

I was trying to program fuses on attmega328p when I got this fail error (https://i.imgur.com/01n37jf.png)

I found out it's a bug from the old 5.10 version of AVRdude I had, so I tried getting the new 6.3 version that the site says was released-->(https://savannah.nongnu.org/proj...)

I uninstalled the old one and got an installer from https://sourceforge.net/projects...

To my surprise, after I installed, I realized it was the same 5.1 version. Although, the site declares to have the latest version(https://i.imgur.com/FxgnoBf.png).

Where can I find a AVRdude 6.3 version installer for windows 7?
