As subject, someone say change exception.S to exception.s
But exception.S need preprocessor; write or modify the Makefile is a solution, but not friendly for new user.
Does any one know how to compile exception.S in avr32 studio without write or modify a Makefile?

Change it to exception.x, the preprocessor will see it then. This is explained somewhere, but darned if I can find it now.

Renaming to .s was part of a workaround for AVR32 Studio 1.x, along with adding a command to the build commands.

AVR32 Studio 2.x just requires renaming assembly files to .x, the system will auto-magically see them as assembly files to be pre-processed.

System info: Win XP, WinAVR 20100110, AVR studio 4.18 build 700, JTAGICE MKII. Atmega 168 & 328, Xmega 192A3.
