I know of 2 of us here from the San Diego area.

Are there others? Does anyone know of any clubs for micrcontrollers, logic, or electronics in genereal?

Seems like I never meet anyone else into Electronics!

Regards

I set up a microcontrollers Meetup group http://microcontroller.meetup.com/ and so far the interest has been light.

Anyway, the Bay Area group has four members. You can contact them through the meetup web page and see when they plan to get together next.

I know it's a bit far away, but you could also start up a San Diego group and see what happens.

There's the "North Orange County Computer Club". I know it's a hundred miles (4 hours by freeway) but I thought I'd mention it.

Sometimes the focus of "electronics" clubs has melded into robotics. Maybe include that in your search terms.

So far the closest person to you, that I've seen, would be me in Colorado.

One would think that there would be more interest, being where you are (LANL). Maybe if it was a "supercomputer interest group" you'd get more takers.

Funny you should say that, Eric - I actually am now in the supercomputing group and am doing sysadmin on this baby: lanl.gov/asci/

:)

I don't think there's an emoticon available for this one....

The last time I saw anything remotely like that was when I got to see some of American Airlines' computer systems years and years ago.
