I just installed the latest WinAVR and its not showing up in the start menu. I am guessing that this occured because the WinAVR installer tried to put WinAVR on the C drive but I foolishly thought that I knew better and redirected it to C:\Program Files.

Is there a way to somehow put WinAVR in the start menu or do I have to uninstall/reinstall?

uninstall windows? yes... re-install... might I suggest an alternative.. ;)

You can always create your own start menu items manually. Not sure what you expect there to be there for Win-AVR though, is there even supposed to be an entry? [I currently don't have win-AVR installed on anything, what should this menu item execute?] re-directing the destination should not affect the creation of a start menu entry

If a search through the WinAVR directory tree does not locate avarice.exe then your install probably is broken. If so I'd uninstall and reinstall.
