Failed to initialize ASF distribution

Hi,

I was trying to open some Example project from Microchip (Atmel) Studio 7.0.2542:

After click on "New Example project" I go error:

 

 

I learned that Python need to uninstalled and reinstalled with new version, I cannot find old installation neither in "programs and features" in Windows or in Studio Device pack Manager. I still see python installation folder under Studio install folder.

Could you navigate me how I can upgrade python version?

IronPython in is a part of Microchip Studio.

A guess is repair.

Hi gchapman,

I repaired Studio and now it is working. I checked registry and Python's settings are still not there. I assume, that some shared systems components got overridden by another application installation so it cease to work.

Must closely watch when another apps will be installed.
