Over my lunch break I tried to get Dragon HVSP to work on some ATTinys I have without success. AVR Studio says it enters programming mode correctly, but (even after a chip erase) I can't read the signature (or fuses) correctly.

Based on information from other threads/websites I think the line length might be a problem, but I also have an STK500 I could use.

Is the STK500 less finicky with HVSP? Any tips to get the Dragon working?

Thanks!

Try running it from a powered USB hub perhaps? (but yes the STK500 is probably fool-proof)

Thanks. I'll give both a try.

Any other advice?
