I thought I got this thing to work once but I can't make it work now.

http://www.futurlec.com/ET-AVR_S...

I have a stk500 a crisp45usb a Dragon
I tried the jtag connection from the dragon to the port labeled ET PSPI and that doesnt work. It turns the led on the board off when I connect the 10 pin header. I tried the ISP on both the crisp and dragon, and connected miso, mosi, sck, rst, gnd,VCC to the correct port pins labeled on the sides of the board the crisp45 seems to see the chip because it holds a steady green led on but I can't read the Signature byte with it or the dragon.

I also have a jtagMKII, perhaps that is what I got it to work with one time.

What should work and I will go from there.

hello,
the PSPI is the programming interface for ur avr stamp!!!
when u want to connect the SPI interface from ur stamp,
u have to use PB0-PB3!!!

Exactly, the 128 is unusual (but not unique) in that its ISP pins are not its SPI pins (they are actually UART pins in fact)

Well now after I ordered the ET avr Jtag programmer, another et-avr 128 and the isp programmer as well as the prototype board that has the jtag connection from futurlec.com

I found my old post here on avr freaks where I mention just using the stk500 boards 10 pin "ISP10PIN" connector connected to the ET-PSPI 10 pin port on the ET-AVR board works fine. The only thing I forgot about was connecting the OSCSEL jumper on the stk500.

I thought I better post this just in case I forget next year or something, as this forum has become my way of filing information I may need in the future.

So I better get busy and find a project for this board before the next one comes in the mail.

The price of just the 128 is 15 bucks on digikey so this board is a steal for 19 bucks.

I see some people talked about futurlec being in Australia but they also have a U.S. site just omit the .au form the url. They ship from Mississippi,MS. The last order I put in I got in three days. I am in MN.
