I am sure this has been asked before but I could not find it when I searched.

I am writing some values to the eeprom on my Tiny2313 which I want to read during program execution. To simulate this on AVR Studio there is a step that has to be done which I can not recall.

Also when you program the chip from Studio does it write the values to the eeprom for the .dseg section of the program, or do you have to do that separately with the Program eeprom window?

Thanks

Well normally, when you start to simulate, if the program has defined initial values for EEPROM you'll see the "programs contains EEPROM initial data - do you want to load it now?" question.

Alternatively, while simulating, use the close to bottom "up/download" entry on the debug menu and set the memory type to EEPROM and identify your .hex file (probably .eep file in fact) that holds the values.
