I gather many people here have some experience in STM32 microcontrollers, but do you happen to use Linux for developement? I know also people use OpenOCD to download firmware via JTAG but that requires some USB-JTAG adapter. Is there any software package to use the STM32 serial bootloader to write firmware over serial port (USB or regular) in Linux?

Clawson, actually it does help - I ran into stm32loader as OpenBSD package, did not know it is a Python script and thus universal.

Bingo, I will look at those as well. Well, almost any STM32 - I have access to 2 different eval boards with very large micros (F103 and F100), and some custom boards with 2-3 different F101/F100 micros.

Thanks everyone,
