Hi all,

I've just done a fresh Studio 7 (7.0.2542) install after an SSD replacement, and have immediately noticed something I've never seen in nearly a decade of using Studio.

In dark mode, any variable I click, seemingly sometimes a single click, sometimes a double click - is highlighted with a whiteish foreground colour, making just about anything highlighted impossible to read. It's whole file highlighting too, and I can't seem to find the setting for it in Options --> Fonts and Colours.

It's effectively word highlighting like this https://marketplace.visualstudio...

Unfortunately it's rendered dark mode useless for me, as any highlighted variable/struct member/enum name, you name it, becomes totally unreadable.

Does anybody know where I can go to turn this back off? Thanks.

Rather embarrassingly, no - because this morning after a Windows restart overnight text highlighting is now working again as expected. Highlighting the text a different colour, with a very subtle background... A Studio restart last night didn't fix the problem.

I cannot seem to make Studio repeat the behaviour by switching back between light/blue/dark themes either, oddly. Thanks though!

Incase this helps anybody else - I noticed this crop up a few times again after the last few days, switching between light and dark modes during day/night.

The 'offending' highlighting option is not 'Brace Matching (Highlight)' (In Tools --> Options --> Environment --> Fonts and Colors), as I've been used to using in the past. Rather the option 'VA Brace Matching' as part of Visual Assist, turned on/off from the VAssistX tab. All these years I must have had VA turned off, and was just using the built-in brace matching.

Either way, studio 7.0.2542 does appear to do some odd things switching between themes. Font settings normally persist when changing themes, but I've had it a couple of times now where I have to switch fonts back after a theme change.
