Need to do a small production run, and am chasing around 200 Atmega48P's in the TQFP-32 package but cant find anyone thats stocking them.

HELP!!! Im in Australia, and will purchase from any store local or OS.

They have to be the Atmega48P or PA, 88P, 168P or anything that's pin compatible in the Picopower range.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Cheers.

Farnell has plenty of ATmega48s in TQFP.

Do you need the full peripheral set of the ATmega48? Or can you live with the ATtiny48? Same package, primary differences are smaller RAM, missing USART, no ability to use crystals, no external AREF for the ADC, and reduced timer/counter features. They are classified as picoPower devices.

DigiKey Australia shows 2600 of them in TQFP-32 in stock.

If you need 1.8V type, you can also use the ATmega48V.
E.g. Mouser: 556-ATMEGA48V10AU

Be careful--very careful--in trying to slap-in a Tiny48. Pin drive is wimpy.

You can put lipstick on a pig, but it is still a pig.

I've never met a pig I didn't like, as long as you have some salt and pepper.

Digikey seems to be getting in a significant amount 9/14...250 in a tray so that should work out nicely for you... so maybe backorder them, they might ship early!
...either way if you are doing a production run large or small these days, and if you do not have piles of parts in stock already or on backorder you probably don't stand a chance manufacturing much..
good luck with finding a distributor stocking anything...if they get it and unsold when it hits the shelf it's usually sold in 2 days or less..especially the Avr in tqfp pkg!
