Does there exisit a solid debugging terminal library?

I mean I know there is just straight output terminal libraries. The smiley micros one is the one I'm using atm.

BUT it would be cool if some clever coder had certain specific debug functions written for it to display as well. (even like stats as outputs come out(e.g. system clock and stuff)

Seems like it would be pretty helpful for those of us without a jtag.

It's called printf() isn't it?

(only YOU will know what you want to print out so it'd be difficult for there to be a "library" that does anything less generic than printf)

your right :)

I just needed the system clock to display every output and went on a tangent for a sec thinking about efficient debugging practices.
