Hello Engineers,

I have a doubt regarding the Debugger break point and timer. In debugging time we stop execution of program with a break point,on that time the the timer also will stop its working or not? Please give me your valuable suggestions.Thank you

User manual:

Search for "keep timers running in stop mode" on that page

hello clawson,thanks for your reply,

By reading that part i understood the timer will run even the execution breaks on break point. but i dont understand the second sentence "This setting is only enabled for certain tool/interfaces". Actually in my debugging i need to stop also the timer with break point.. is it possible?

I think that is the default action isn't it?

But for the debugger interface you use (Atmel ICE or something else?) what do you see that option set to by default?

I'm debugging ATMega644PA with Atmel ICE, AS7 v1645.  I was confused as to why Timer values were all over the place while debugging a scheduler.  I finally found this thread, thanks to posters above.

The option was finally found in Project Properties Tools tab, it was unchecked by default.
