Hi all !

Can some explain me this datasheet (*.pdf):

TI TPS63001 http://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/tps63001.pdf

What is current consumption of this DC-DC?

From data sheet:

Device Quiescent Current less than 50µA

OK, Quiescent Current is current that IC spends when there is no load, IC is fully operational

Shutdown current 1µA

everything clear here

And what is current consumption when there is load attached to IC ?

Is this also Quiescent Current?

For the chip only, not sure why you want to know?

I guess the total current draw would be the output current divided by the efficiency plus the quiescent current.

My device is battery powered so I need to know current consumption of DC-DC.
I know that I can't rely on data in datasheets.

One thing is data in papers and another thing is what you have in reality.

Surely the key thing is the efficiency percentage which indirectly tells you how much energy will be wasted as heat. If you look at page 6 that suggests that around a current draw of about 100ma it is about 90% efficient. So if your AVR draws 90mA then another 10mA are going to be wasted.
