I am considering DC-DC power modules to get +/-15 @ 100 ma. One brand (Astrodyne ASD03) I looked at has a .6 wide DIP foot print and 1% ripple. Anyone used these and if so what did you do for post filtering of the noise? Reason for considering is to reduce pcb space where my SMPS would otherwise go and to speed up my project by avoiding all the layout details for a SMPS and all the inductors and caps and routing.

Shall +/-15 @ 100 mA be for opamp's power rails, good decoupling caps and low ESR electrolytes would do. It's 450 kHz ripple eventually easy to deal by accurate design of power lines. Imho ripple will be much less than declared 1% at lower loads, btw.

Regulated DC-DC modules are very noisy. If you have op-amps etc. it is best to use unregulated ones with linear post-regulators. Much quiter both on the power rails and EMC.
