Hey,

Does anyone know of a good tutorial of some sort on how to create custom project templates?

I have a board I keep making different programs for and including the same libraries and setting directories is a pain, there has to be a better way (I know pololu has done it, even Arduino has some trick, but I couldn't find any ways to do one myself.

Any ideas?

Create the project with all the settings and files that you would like to have it in the template.
Select Menu "File->Export Template" and follow the wizard.

Suppose I do not want to create a new template, but modify one of the existing ones. Can that be done?

The case is: I want all projects I create have the "Warnings as errors" option set by default.

If I use the Export template functionality, the template gets other stuff also, like the selected AVR model. And I do not get the full project creation wizard when using the template.

No guarantees, but if we don't report problems they won't get much of  a chance to be fixed! Details/discussions at link given just above.
