Because '&' is a reserved character with special meaning on the command like - therefore, don't use '&' in file or folder names!

Similarly for space and comma and '+' etc...

Google "command line special characters" for more...

If you are going to try and use special characters in path and filenames then when you use those names make sure they are Quoted.

I think you also killed mine in the process?

Not to worry. Just to reiterate that that this is a very common problem; eg, https://www.avrfreaks.net/forum/e...

So the simplest rule is: Never use spaces (or other "special" characters) in file or folder names for your software projects.

Sure, they can all be quoted/escaped - but why give yourself that hassle in the first place?

Summary: Just don't do it - then you know you'll be safe!
