hello guys,

I have a project that i should control a 3 phase motor.How can I do it?

I mean I don't have  any information about controlling it with micro controllers(AVR mega series).

could you help me?

You can DO EVERYTHING!

Do you understand how to do it without microcontrollers?

ie, do you understand the principles involved?

Clearly, you need to understand the principles before you will be able to implement them - whether in microcontrollers or any other form!

Top Tips:

  1. How to properly post source code - see: https://www.avrfreaks.net/comment... - also how to properly include images/pictures
  2. "Garbage" characters on a serial terminal are (almost?) invariably due to wrong baud rate - see: https://learn.sparkfun.com/tutorials/serial-communication
  3. Wrong baud rate is usually due to not running at the speed you thought; check by blinking a LED to see if you get the speed you expected
  4. Difference between a crystal, and a crystal oscillatorhttps://www.avrfreaks.net/comment...
  5. When your question is resolved, mark the solution: https://www.avrfreaks.net/comment...

Do you know how to read? If yes, start with these...

http://www.atmel.com/images/doc2...

http://www.atmel.com/images/doc8...

http://www.atmel.com/images/atme...

or you could simply enter "atmel application note 3 phase motor control" into Google.

Never used the word 'you' either. When you have NFI (no freakin idea) - Google first. You will find more information than we could possibly write on a forum.

Am I the only one who finds posts like this slightly scary?

#1 Hardware Problem? https://www.avrfreaks.net/forum/...

#2 Hardware Problem? Read AVR042.

#3 All grounds are not created equal

#4 Have you proved your chip is running at xxMHz?

#5 "If you think you need floating point to solve the problem then you don't understand the problem. If you really do need floating point then you have a problem you do not understand."

It's not as if 3-phase motors are a new or esoteric innovation - they have been widely used for over a century!

Any electrical engineering textbook should cover this.

There is another Iranian here with the forum name Rohalamin

You can contact him through his forum page:  https://www.avrfreaks.net/users/r...

He is only a few years older than you but appears to know Enlish a bit better. He may be able to help you figure out how to find technical things on the internet.

I have given him these links:

http://www.instructables.com/id/BLDC-Motor-Control-with-Arduino-salvaged-HD-motor/?ALLSTEPS

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fGPdPKMSpv8

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P-eTLmJC2cQ

I hope these links will help him. unfurtunatly I don't have enough time to tutor because I off to work (at office as soldier. making tea (for other staff), cleaning desks,... and other things that I have to do ) at 7 am and come back to home at 3 pm. too tire out! then I have to work on my project and checking E-Mail and so on while I just have 3 hours to do all of these.

How could I help him?

looks like he has a good situation and also a nice suit. he should be an urban-boy.

let him to know and see that the world isn't as beautiful as he is seeing.

I must make tea or clean up desks for staffs who cannot even work with a PC and do simple things.

nevertheless I will help him as much as possible. kindly.smiley

I am going to post a whole project VFD 3-phase with Space Vector Modulation for driving motor next week. Have some issues with PCB but gonna fix it.
