Not a fairy project. I was preparing once to do it with a 8051 and I had found it really difficult for a begginer and compared to the datalogger that I was developing. Finally I stored data to a PCMCIA SRAM card. Right now, with SD cards, who wants this? Many PC today came without floppies at all.

Actually I don't know who would want this now with so many better options out there. I found this while surfing the web. There were some previous questions on this forum about how/and if it could be done with a AVR. So I thought i'd share it with the community that wanted to know if it could be done.

It's also very cool to see what people around the world come up with to solve the many questions/problems with the best uC out there. I don't think it really matters if it's practical or not.
