character menu system

Hi guys

I want to learn how to write a simple character menu systme with C in an 8 bit AVR, just wondering is there any tutorial about a simple character menu around here? google didn't give me much useful.

You shall be surprised how may hits will be returned after typing "menu" in that "Search" box o the left side of this page. The same valid for "Search" option on the top of this page.
Goggles and internets also has it when typed, for instance "AVR LCD menu".

I believe the PROGMEM thread in the tutorial section has examples that relate to a menu system, though much of the specifics relate to avr-gcc only.

Its also easy to put a little hot key menu up on the serial port. Here is a small example of a mini monitor
