I cannot get the interrupt for TOV 5 to work. If someone could have quick look at this it would
make my day.

Thanks,

A

PS. TOV5 is clock by the internal source and should call the interrupt when it overflows.

Are you testing using the simulator? It has many problems with timer stuff (at least the old one which I believe is the only one available for mega640).

Lars,
I am using the simulator. Can you suggest another way to test this stuff?

Thanks,

A

Debug in the real chip if you have a JTAG. Or, prototype and test your code using a chip (e.g., mega128) that is supported by the version 2 simulator. A third option is to test in the real chip with usart tracing (or even just a few leds) for debugging.

Lars,
I think I will try the 128 route with sim 2. The hardware is already in
place and it would next to impossible to add to it. Thank you for your
assistance.
