After the loss of programming capability,  both compiling icons have disappeared, I have completely uninstalled the latest Studio 7... Of more STUDIO 7 is too resource intensive after a few hours of use Window 10 ask for grace!

I use on a PC (VISTA) studio 4.17  configuration I can program all my devices with STK500 or ISP MKII. On the other machine (Window 10) I had to remove all traces left by the various studio facilities 6 and 7 to reinstall Studio 6.2 to obtain a correct operation. But 6.2 in see  ISP MKII and it impossible to program...

Another big disappointment STK 600, how to call this "thingy" that never worked properly ...!

Ok, you have a lot of stuff in that OP and it needs to be sorted out some before we can help.

The STK600.  Has it EVER worked?  If yes, on which version of studio, and what operating system?

Are you using Studio7 at all?  If not is it uninstalled from the machine(s)?

The STK500 and ISPMKII, are working on the VISTA machine?  HAve you tried them on the machine that has Studio 6_2 on it?
