Can we expect upgraded device pack files to support SNAP?

Now we have a cheap SNAP programmer, which can program XMEGA devices, I suppose.

The problem is, that in device pack for XMEGA is no information about the SNAP programmer, so Atmel Studio cannot use it. I noticed that for other AVR families device packs were already upgraded, but nobody has touched XMEGA for years. The fix is pretty simple - just add one line to device pack. So can we expect the upgrade?

I can't give you any dates, but there will be updates.
Meanwhile you can manually add the following line to the targets in the .pdsc files in the XMEGA DFPs (where you find all the other at:tool-elements) to enable support for SNAP:

<at:tool id="com.atmel.avrdbg.tool.snap"/>
