I am in the United States for another three weeks, and would like to take an AVR Butterfly back with me. Does anybody know where I can get a Butterfly in the U.S. in the next couple of weeks?

Thank you in advance for any help you may render.

Smileymicros has stated on his web-site that he now has Butterflys in stock.

Thank you, both of you, for your help. I ordered the Butterfly and their book, C Programming for Microcontrollers. Now I am "Smiley." :P

Thank you again.

One nice thing about ordering your Butterflys from Smilemicros...

Smile makes a really big effort to help people out of a bind, even if that person didn't order the Butterfly from him. So, when you order your Butterfly from Smiley, he'll probably be more willing to help you when you accedentally over-write your Bootloader.

From what I see, Smiley has some of the best customer service around.

Oh! Just so you know, I'm not affiliated with Smileymicros in any way other then my wife bought me his book last Christmas.

I do know good customer service when I see it.

Remember that scene where goofy sways back and forth while rubbing his foot in a circle and says 'Garsh... uh hult uh hult?'

Garsh...

I think you have an Engineer's dream wife.

Just adding in my own recommendation for Smokey and his wares. A while ago (not sure about the present) he added in a free rs-232 plug and wire into each Butterfly free, to help newbies. I also have a pre-release copy of his book, and it was that which taught me C.

You'll enjoy the book - hilarious and very informative.

Smiley,

I'm not trying to K.A.

You know the saying "The truth hurts!"

Well, in this case, the truth feels pretty good, don't it?
