Buioldroot 2.2.1 fails in the following manner:

  http://www.mpfr.org/mpfr-2.3.0/patches
           => `/home/dingo/buildroot-avr32-v2.2.1/dl/mpfr-2.3.0.patch'
Resolving www.mpfr.org... 152.81.144.22
Connecting to www.mpfr.org|152.81.144.22|:80... failed: Connection timed out.
Retrying.

I have tried manually downloading the mpfr-2.3.0.patch and placing it in the dl directory for Buildroot but it still wants to download it.

Can anyone suggest how to either:

1) Get Buildroot to connect to a different source and download it; or

2) Accept the manual download of the file as acceptable so that it won't try to download the file again?

Thanks,

Nigel

Yea the mpfr people don't have any respect for hard-coded version numbers. You'll want to manually grab that patch from the atmel mirror.

#: cd /dl
#: wget http://www.atmel.no/buildroot/source/mirror/mpfr-2.3.0.patch

I get similiar issue. Now I solve it.
I get followimg message:
--22:53:10-- http://www.mpfr.org/mpfr-2.3.0//...
(try: 3) => `/opt/source/myuclibc/fromsvn/dl/mpfr-2.3.0.tar.bz2'
Connecting to www.mpfr.org|152.81.144.22|:80... connected.
HTTP request sent, awaiting response... Read error (Connection reset by peer) in headers.
Retrying.
(try: 3) become try 4, 5, .... 20...
I use following method solve it:
1) open package\mpfr\mpfr.mk, change
MPFR_SITE:=http://www.mpfr.org/mpfr-$(MPFR_VERSION)/
to
#MPFR_SITE:=http://www.mpfr.org/mpfr-$(MPFR_VERSION)/
MPFR_SITE:=ftp://ftp.eenet.ee/pub/gentoo/di...
2) later it say dl/mpfr-2.3.0.patch is not valid, I find a file in "http://buildroot.uclibc.org/down..." I manual download it and overwrite the invalid patch file.
