From this comment https://www.avrfreaks.net/comment... look more down and down and see the solution I applied.

I was trying to put my typedef struct array with a function pointer member in and I got these errors:

in extract_insn, at recog.c:2150 in C file

unrecognizable insn: also in C file

The compiler is pointing to one of the functions that the function pointer is pointing to. I tried to comment that out, but the error is still there!

Help! I have contest in 2 days to get this project finished!

So why the new thread? What was wrong with the existing one?

Top Tips:

  1. How to properly post source code - see: https://www.avrfreaks.net/comment... - also how to properly include images/pictures
  2. "Garbage" characters on a serial terminal are (almost?) invariably due to wrong baud rate - see: https://learn.sparkfun.com/tutorials/serial-communication
  3. Wrong baud rate is usually due to not running at the speed you thought; check by blinking a LED to see if you get the speed you expected

I just typed:

"in extract_insn, at recog.c:2150" AVR

into Google. It said:

Thank you very much! Everything works now and I finally successfully put my binder struct array into flash! I have no idea how to repay you. I should give you my hardware-style interrupt driven USART printf/scanf code :)
